While this study is oriented toward learning more about and of God, I thought it might be useful to see where this passage took place. This, then, is Mars Hill in Athens as photographed from the Acropolis. What's left of it.

Where are the meditation notes and the Lesson 2 notes, eh?

'Capricious'
ReplyDeleteWhen discussed in class, I had the impression that capricious included a component of maliciousness. Apparently it is less that and more 'changing often and quickly' or 'not logical or reasonable : based on an idea, desire, etc., that is not possible to predict'
i.e. Fickle, inconsistent, temperamental, unsettled, unstable, volatile.

The Athenians' gods were capricious and they sought to appease them through sacrifices.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the time to look up "capricious". This definition was exactly my intention. Capricious means Joe has to jump in the volcano. (obscure movie reference)
